Private sector to renew momentum to support Agaciro Fund

Private Sector Federation (PSF) has committed to regularize their support to Agaciro Development.

The pledge was made on Friday during the meeting at Serena Hotel that gathered members of the PSF, Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning and Agaciro Development Fund. Themed “Sharing Agaciro Development Fund: Renew Momentum for Growth and Sustainability” the meeting was held under a joint auspices to share the Fund’s achievements and reflect on strategies for the continued growth and sustainability of the Fund.

Speaking at the meeting, Hon. Claver Gatete, the Minister of Finance thanked private sector for their integral support to Agaciro Fund. The Minister stated that the government acknowledges their enthusiasm in Rwanda’s journey towards ownership and fast-tracking of its development.

So far, the Fund has extended to 26.5 Rwf billion and inflows from contributions and investments are increasing; Vianney Kagabo, the Fund’ CEO said.

Members of the PSF were appreciative of the progress and pledged to support continuously the Fund. The PSF Chairman, Benjamin Gasamagera said that together with the federation members efforts are going to be renewed to support Agaciro Fund.

Since the Fund was launched in 2012 by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Rwanda Paul Kagame, the private sector has contributed 6,231,626,164 Rwf.
